Um

Anna Rós Lárusdóttir is the author of Yoga Time. Anna Rós is a trained primary school teacher, yoga teacher and flexibility coach, in addition to having completed various other training qualifications. She has long been interested in everything related to exercise and health, and she has always been passionate about working with children as well as adults.

Yoga class began as her master's project, which she submitted in 2015. To begin with, it was a handbook for elementary and kindergarten teachers who are interested in bringing the basic elements of health and well-being more into the general classroom. Since then, she has used the material a lot in primary school teaching, and the book has been in great development, making many changes and improvements in the process, and was then published in 2022 in collaboration with Sögur publishing.

Today, the book is therefore suitable both for families who want to exercise together and create quality time through play, intimacy and exercise, as well as ambitious teachers who want to accommodate their different students with diverse teaching methods that promote their well-being through teaching. them to deal with stress, strain and take care of themselves.

Subsequently, Anna Rós has worked on completing the handbook and the additional material which is now available for those who are interested in working further with the book, especially kindergarten and elementary school teachers.

Following the book, Anna Rós started with family yoga, but it is a yoga class for families or an adult and a child/children who want to exercise together and have quality time together through play, intimacy and movement. You go through yoga positions, breathing exercises are done, start playing and end with gentle relaxation. Family yoga has been at events such as Hafnarfjörður's Winter Festival, libraries and more. You can contact us via email if you are interested in offering family yoga.

Flexibility training

Anna Rós also offers flexibility training that is for anyone interested in increasing flexibility, strength, body awareness and well-being in their own body, and the training is suitable for both beginners and advanced users.

The flexibility training is both in the form of private lessons for individuals or smaller groups, and then distance training, which is for those who want to train under guidance but want or prefer this scope to train on their own terms, where it suits them best.

Both methods are effective if people are willing to put in the effort and do the exercises as with any other training.

Flexibility training is also available for young people in sports such as gymnastics or martial arts.
